Tracy L. Tate (Jones), a mother, grandmother and CEO, is a native of SF’s Bayview District. She received her education at Lowell High, AA Degree from Heald Business College, BA & MBA in Business Administration Accounting, as well as a Master’s in Public Administration from University of Phoenix and a Master’s Certificate in Accounting from Keller Graduate School.
Tracy, CEO of TLJ Professional Services, Inc, is an Accounting professional of over 35years, provides bookkeeping, accounting and tax preparation services to individuals and small businesses since 2003. She specializes in Accounts Payable and held the position of Director of Accounts Payable with Digital Realty Trust, a $3 Billion dollar REIT, before pursuing her entrepreneurship journey. Tracy is also a Life & Health insurance agent licensed in CA since 2015. TLJ Professional Services, Inc has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and is classified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
Tracy is now a four time author; featured in the book compilation, Broken into Brilliance Vol. II, her solo book Five Years In A Fog, Overcoming Obstacles, where she was motivated to share her story of triumph over abuse to encourage other women to LIVE life fully. The trials and tribulations she endured are true testimony of courage, endurance and a never ending will to live. Tracy counts her Blessings to be a Blessing to others. Tracy also joined the compilation book 90-Day Gratitude Journal for Your Business and now Girl Hold My Purse.
In 2005, she started the non-profit; Beat the Streets, Inc, in Pittsburg, CA to provide resources in education, employment and life skills to young adults. It was started to get the youth from hanging out on the streets around her home, thus the name Beat the Streets, Inc. Welcoming them in her home allowed them to develop a bond that would lead to the services offered today in Antioch, CA.
Tracy is a volunteer member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Oakland Bay Area chapter where she served as the Chair of the Budget & Finance committee before becoming the Financial Secretary of the chapter. She was also a VIP member and Board Treasurer of the National Association of Professional Women, SF Chapter, which she obtained the Professional Woman of the Year Award for 2014-2015. She also serves as Board Treasurer of Operation Genesis of SF.
